The photograph above shows the Murwab. Murwab is a large LNG carrier, operated by "K" Line for the export of LNG from the Ras Gas III project in Qatar. Murwab was commissioned in 2008. The photo was taken by Captain David R. Byrnes of the Sabine Pilots in November 2009 when the ship docked at the Cheniere LNG import terminal at Sabine Pass to offload a cargo of LNG on consignment to Chevron. The cargo consisted of about 4.4 billion cubic feet of natural gas in liquefied form, and landed at a cost of $3.78 per million Btus according to US DOE data.
